Sérgio Teófilo, an artisan from the quilombola community Cruz da Menina in Dona Inês, Paraíba, has been sculpting since childhood. Since 2009, he has dedicated himself to art, using imburana wood to create sculptures inspired by the caatinga fauna. His works reflect his Afro-descendant heritage and community culture.
